Born on the December 29 in 1986 in Forchheim, a suburb of Nuremberg in Germany. After having attended school and high school in arts and mathematics there, he went to Bolzano (Italy) to study design. He also spent one year of his studies in Paris doing graphic design and working for an art gallery. He sees himself as a product and concept designer, but he’s also interested in another connected fields like graphic design, photography, contemporary art and architecture.
“In this project I chose important historical events where furniture was photographed. From these photos, I created furniture where those moments were still visible like shadows. Furniture fixes that moment in time. History shapes the furniture. With this work I’d like to make people more conscious of their responsibility for the historical and political changes. We can sit in the same place of a Noble Prize, we can sit on the bench where a regime was accused of massacres, we can sit around the table of Vietnam War negotiations… so the user becomes actor of an important event for all mankind.”
